During August 2013, Rotterdam artist Stefan Hoffmann worked in St Leonards to produce screen printed window installations for local businesses. He made contact with Gizmo Gaffe, a centre offering creative workshops for disadvantaged & special needs young people. Hoffmann worked for three days with three boys & two girls (12-18yrs) & two volunteers to encourage them to create their own printed window installation at Gizmo. He helped them design their selected images, prepare stencils & print on the windows with his equipment. The young people were very proud of their work & Hoffmann’s involvement with them is evidence that the arts can make a positive difference to individual lives. Hoffmann’s workshops were supported by The Seedcorn Fund through Sussex Community Foundation.
