"Art is a guarantee of sanity" Louise Bourgeois

2nd October 2016 | by Christine Gist

Playland: Re-imagining Communities opened at The Brewery Tap, Folkestone on 8 September 2016 & continued until 25 September with over 140 visitors attending the inaugural exhibition.

In addition to Jivko Darakchiev’s film People Pebble, Nicholette Goff’s installation created with the input of local people was a huge success & encouraged

their participation in an art exhibition for the first time. Their memorabilia, photos & stories brought a new interpretation to daily life in Folkestone.

Playland: Re-imagining Communities was realised by KCC’s Member Community Grants & the in-kind support of University for the Creative Arts Canterbury.
