Tempo Arts has been awarded funding from Hastings Borough Council’s 1066 Anniversary Grant which supports community projects linked to the events organised for the 950th anniversary of the Battle of Hastings.
Tempo Arts will work with The Bridge Community Centre in Ore to deliver artists-led projects through workshops which will explore different aspects of the impact of the Battle & invasion as well as the similarities & differences between French & English culture.

The workshops will be led by Sharon Haward (Hastings) & Léonie Young (Lille) with members of the Bridge Art Group, the Bridge Choir & the Halton & Ore History Group. Tempo Arts aims to realise permanent works which will be installed outside the Centre on the building’s facade.
