During 2018-19, Tempo Arts has been working with community organisations in East and West Sussex, creating opportunities for users of these structures to participate in artist-led workshops.

Members of Bulgarians in Hastings & St Leonards developed art work to include in a Hastings exhibition which celebrated heritage, culture & place. During workshops led by Allen R Page, a music performance was developed inspired by Bulgarian culture & traditions.

Participants: Boris Atanasov • Victoria Cristal • Lyudmila Georgieva • Paloma Sourtchev • Asen Yankov

At Coastal Enterprises, Worthing, people worked with graphic artist Zara Slattery to create monoprints & comic books about planning their favourite holidays or day trips, celebrating vacations with friends & family. Images of what they packed, how they travelled, things they saw & favourite holiday foods inspired their work.

Participants: Zoey Aylwin • Sue Braddick • Louise Buckley • Ann Ellis • James Gibson • Steve Jelley • Anita Roberts • Clive Smith • Jackie Taylor

At Compass Community Arts, Eastbourne, artist Christine Gist worked with Project Director Fenya Sharkey to deliver various drawing & collage workshops for the people attending the Monday Art Group.
