The Serendipity of Thought and Memory

With text and image we understand that a bilateral language is being used. Sometimes obfuscating, sometimes clarifying but essentially it reveals a history of association and thought.

Stephen Williams looks at things speculatively. He is reminded of stories and dialogues, some of them considered and some not yet realised : it is a position that requires gentle negotiation through thinking that can be relatively obscure or on the edge of recognition.

This purposefully meandering process can crystalise into a realisation that requires action and a form of completion – decoy – is just such an example.

decoy :
lure, bait, redherring, enticement, inducement, temptation, attraction, allurement, draw, carrot, ensnarement, entrapment, snare, trap, pitfall, ambush
