Artist Billboard presents commissions by diverse international artists on an outdoor billboard-like hoarding at The SPACE, St John’s Road, St Leonards on Sea, East Sussex.

The works can be viewed from pavement and street level from summer 2021 to summer 2022.

Authentic-Forgery by Stephen Williams

Stephen Williams lives and works in London. Through his international practice he has curated and participated in exhibitions in the UK, EU, Eastern Europe and the USA. He is a founding member of Riverside Artists Group (RAG) and from 1995-2007 he was Director of Kingsgate Gallery, London.

‘Statements or propositions which at first sound reasonable now often lead to conclusions that seem logically unacceptable.

The paradox of the difference between real and fake has always been porous but can be weaponised and strategic in social manipulation.

Manipulation being embedded so deep is hard to recognise.’
