Runway is an art, walking, photography project run by Sharon Haward and Roz Cran. They started the project in 2010 at the De La Warr Pavilion, Bexhill-on-Sea, and have since carried out two walks a year in coastal towns including Hastings, Whitstable and Folkestone as well as in more rural locations such as Romney Marsh and Rye.

Runway specialises in bringing people together for moments of spectacle. They walk together, chat, meet new and old friends and then stop at points along the way for a few minutes to stand in silence, to breathe, to contemplate and ponder while group photographs are taken.

This year Tempo Arts invited Runway to show their 2022 photograph on Artists Billboard as part of PhotoHastings 2022.

The image here shows the Group taking a moment to stand and stare on the seafront in St Leonards-on-Sea.
